Fans are eagerly waiting for more "Sons of Anarchy" prequel and spin-off updates online. Kurt Sutter has already confirmed that filming for the spin-off "Mayans MC" has already begun, but there has been no word whether a prequel will see the light of day.
This could be a let down for audiences who have been waiting to see a Charlie Hunnam return on the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel and spin-off. Previous rumors have already suggested that the actor might not come back to reprise his role, but many are still hoping that he would at least have a cameo in Sutter's upcoming project.
Comic Book recently reported that the comic book prequel of the popular show might have some clues to Jax Teller's involvement in the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off. As the outlet reported, the comic book entitled, "Redwood Originals," centers on an 18-year-old Jax and his journey as a prospect of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club.
In the comics' fourth issue, Marcus Alvarez was introduced, suggesting that he has a major role and a long-standing relationship with Jax in the franchise. As it was recently confirmed, Emilio Rivera will be reprising his role as Marcus Alvarez in the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off. The publication continued to speculate that it could be possible that this storyline will be used in the spin-off, but a Charlie Hunnam cameo would most probably be a far-fetched idea.
As for the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel, reports have previously claimed that the new project will be entitled "The First 9." Although there has been a few to no mention of the prequel online, the online community still hopes that the project is still a go.
