To the delight of the many followers of the sci-fi series, "The X-Files," Fox confirms that Season 11 will definitely happen. However, fans may need to exercise more patience as the premiere date is not gonna be anytime soon. Apparently, the cause of the delay is the lead actors of the show, Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) and David Duchovny (Fox Mulder).
Apparently, the full schedules of the main actors such as David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are making it impossible for the production of the new season of "The X-Files" to begin for now as posted in Counsel Heal. Moreover, the current location of the actors is a problem as well since Anderson is based in the UK while Duchovny lives in New York and the shoot will be done in Vancouver. Even coordinating with the creator of the series, Chris Carter is also not that easy right now.
Nonetheless, the reason mentioned above seems to be the lone obstacle for "The X-Files" Season 11 to push through as the cast and crew are reportedly excited to start production. The confirmation of Season 11 for the suspense drama series was made by FOX executive, Dana Walden during the Television Critics Association where she said that longer episodes are in store for the new season.
An article from TV Line also informs that due to the busy schedules of the cast, Season 11 of "The X-File" will have at most 10 episodes. With production yet to start, nothing is sure about its premiere date for now but it is probably safe to assume that it will be in the last part of 2018 or early 2019.
Are you still hoping for an earlier release date for "The X-Files" Season 11? Just remember, patience is a virtue and soon enough, you will see Mulder and Scully again in the hit series.
