To say that fans are eagerly awaiting for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is an understatement. The massive popularity of the show prompted the creators, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon to announce a new season just a few episodes after Season 2 was launched last year. Yet the public may just have to wait a bit longer as the air date of "Rick and Morty" seems unlikely to happen this year.
An article from Mobile&Apps claims that reliable source confirmed the previously announced release date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 on Dec. 2016 is not possible. The said source is PopDavid who works as a design assistant for the animated series reveals that the new season will be composed of 14 episodes and that as of this writing, only nine episodes have been written.
This is in contrast to the statement of writer, Dan Gutterman which said that the script for the show is officially done. Moreover, PopDavid also revealed that only one episode for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is done with the animation.
With seemingly contradictory information about the release of the animated sitcom, fans are confused on what to believe. Yet it seems that the reason for the delay is the production staff working very hard to polish the story and meet the expectations of viewers.
Meanwhile, a post from Den of Geek shares some of the things that Adult Swim fans should watch out for in the fresh episodes of "Rick and Morty." The latest spoiler reveals that the hilarious gang might be going to Hawaii in Season 3 and that the creators wish to guest Vin Diesel.
