NBA 2016 Latest News: New York Knicks Phil Jackson’s Future Unknown; Zen Master Returning to Los Angeles Lakers?

NBA rumors are rife as Phil Jackson's future with the New York Knicks is still unknown as there is an opt-out clause in his contract with the team. Los Angeles Lakers co-owner also had claimed that by July, the Zen master will be back at his rightful place with LA Lakes.

According to CBS Sports News, New York Knicks Phil Jackson's availability for the Los Angeles Lakers will depend on the last thing that happens in this NBA season. The New York Knicks' accomplishment will decide if owner Jim Dolan will pay Jackson $12 million annually, which will be decided if New York Knicks Phil Jackson intends on staying. But if it's the other way around, Jackson may leave whenever he feels like.

However, NBA Sports News reported that New York Knicks Phil Jackson had denied that he wanted to leave the New York Knicks for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Zen master said that he still had plenty of work to do.

New York Knicks Phil Jackson is paid with truck loads of money in New York. Currently, the NY Knicks looks like a playoff team in the East Conference. And if the New York Knicks continues to go on, it's hard to imagine the Zen master bolting or Dolan pushing him out the door.

But somehow there was some minor issue in the New York Knicks that burdened Phil Jackson. New York Knicks Phil Jackson still finds himself struggling with the coaches and responsibilities by having bumped with assistant coach Kurt Rambis a holdover on new coach Jeff Hornacek's staff about why they're not running the triangle more. The reason was because the players don't like the offense. As Carmelo Anthony said that he was getting tired of hearing about the triangle.

Former Knicks head coach Derek Fisher also quoted that it is not fair that many assumed New York Knicks Phil Jackson to know what to do in every situation because of his history in the game. "Phil also still learning as an executive, as a president of an organization, which is completely different than coaching that he did before," Fisher said.

The New York Knicks are currently No. 7 in the Eastern Conference. That is an improvement from the 49-115 overall record in New York Knicks Phil Jackson's first two seasons as president of the Knicks.

Do you think New York Knicks Phil Jackson will really go back to the Los Angeles Lakers?
