In "Gotham" Season 3 fall finale episode, it turned out the Selina was right about her mother being alive. But she's also right that her mother left her, and she is yet to find out why. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Camren Bicondova, who plays Selina, reveals what is likely going to happen to her character.
"It's going to affect her greatly because she's always been very guarded," Camren Bicondova told the publication, adding that her mother's reappearance in Gotham adds to the vulnerability Selina is currently in with Bruce. Selina and Bruce's relationship is getting deeper.
"Her mom brings out a totally different type of vulnerability from her and she's kind of a different person," she added. Camren Bicondova further teased that fans might see a darkness they haven't seen before in Selina. Despite what her mother did to her, she still loves her mom unconditionally, which is going to be a dilemma for the character of "Gotham" Season 3.
Camren Bicondova also revealed that the situation will also affect Selina's relationship with Bruce in a major way. "Every single time something happens where you think it will bring Bruce and Selina closer, it actually shoots them thousands and thousands of miles away [from each other] emotionally. It's going to be intense," she said.
Meanwhile, the teaser for the next "Gotham" Season 3 episode in January reveals the return of the smiling psychopath Jerome, played by Cameron Monaghan. The character was murdered by Theo Galavan in "Gotham" Season 2, and how he is going to come back from the dead is yet to be revealed.
