A reported rumor indicates "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" is in the works. Fans of the crossover fighting game have become more excited as online reports hint on the announcement coming this week. Reports and images have spread online providing indications that the game could come out next year.
Sources of Polygon suggests that the rumored 2017 release of "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" is, in fact real. Marvel or Capcom has not announced anything about the game, but expectations are high as reports say MvC4 will be presented at this week's Sony PlayStation Experience event, which will happen on December 3-4. The timing of that announcement would coincide with Capcom's Street Fighter V tournament at the annual Sony event this weekend.
Also, some new images have come out that hints on the possible return of the series to the fighting scene. Now, keep in mind that this does not confirm anything about "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" but enough to excite quite a few fans.
As of the moment, there are no solid details about the game. However, there are bits of interesting news about the "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" roster. While fighting game fans normally see X-Men characters in the game, this time the focus on characters will be from Marvel Cinematic Universe. Expect to see Ant-Man, Groot and other characters from The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy movies. For the first time ever, Wolverine, Magneto and other X-Men characters will not see action in a Marvel vs. Capcom game.
Wolverine, Magneto and some of the known members of X-Men were playable characters featured on recent Marvel vs. Capcom games. Not seeing these X-Men fan favorites is the big story in the next Marvel vs. Capcom game.
The Sony PlayStation Experience event is always a perfect venue for exciting surprises, new trailers, special demos and surprising announcements. Excited fans of the series will surely not want to miss the upcoming event. Stay tuned to Parent Herald for the latest update on "Marvel vs. Capcom 4."
