"The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 8 "Hearts Still Beating" threatens to be a bloody midseason finale. With Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and The Saviors about to face a tension-filled episode, their victims as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the Alexandria survivors are anticipated to fight back and may cost the deaths of key characters.
GamesRadar points out that things could get ugly even before the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 midseason finale. According to the media outlet, Episode 7 ("Sing Me A Song") the AMC series could make Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) the focus of Negan.
In "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 5, "Go Getters," Carl Grimes was last seen in The Saviors' van with Paul Rovia a.k.a Jesus (Tom Payne). Based on "The Walking Dead" comic book canon by Robert Kirkman, Carl Grimes fails in his mission to take out Negan and The Saviors.
Disagreeing with his father on a current strategy of placation, Carl Grimes decided to take matters into his own hands. The impending capture of Carl Grimes by Negan will spur Rick Grimes and the Alexandria group into action.
Still, "The Walking Dead" fans know that there is no give in Negan and The Saviors and midseason finale could see more than a few key "TWD" characters could be leaving the series. Recent buzz have been tagging Carl Grimes for a Season 7 exit.
Nonetheless, The Huffington Post cites Tom Payne in suggesting that Carl Grimes is not going anywhere. Despite pending contract renewal for Chandler Riggs, the "TWD" star suggests that Carl Grimes may be the final survivor at the very end of "The Walking Dead" series.
