Movie-lovers will now be able to stream movies available on cable and satellite TV even when on the go after Amazon recently announced the addition of HBO and Cinemax subscriptions on their TV offerings list , "Amazon Channels."
According to the Verge, members of Amazon's streaming service, Amazon Prime, can now buy monthly subscription to HBO and Cinemax through Amazon Channels. HBO's monthly subscription costs $14.99, while Cinemax's monthly subscription costs $9.99 with both subscriptions having a 30-day trial.
HBO and Cinemax will be the new addition to Amazon Channels' over 70 add-on subscriptions for their Amazon Prime members . This on top of what Amazon Prime subscribers can access with no additional cost.
With the HBO subscription, Amazon Prime Subscribers will have access to hit HBO-original shows and series, both current and past. HBO subscribers will also have access to HBO's currently licensed movies and news shows.

As for the Cinemax subscription, Amazon Prime subscribers will have access to Cinemax-originals and licensed movies. In December, Jurassic World will be available in Cinemax, reports Techcrunch.
There is, however, hardly any price difference between getting the add-on HBO subscription in Amazon Channels and subscribing to HBO Now, HBO's standalone streaming service. HBO Now's current subscription costs $15.Other than HBO and Cinemax, Amazon Prime members can also subscribe to other programs like Showtime, Starz, and Comedy Central for a monthly fee.
