The upcoming season 3 of "Poldark" does not seem friendly to Ross (Adrian Turner) as reports say his character is doomed for greater troubles when the hit series returns next year. How will George react once he discovers the "consensual sex?"
Season 3 of "Poldark" appears to be directing Ross to bigger troubles as he suffers the consequences of his actions in the previous season. The previous season finale featured how Ross and Elizabeth consummated their love for each other. The illicit act resulted from Ross' jealousy when he found out about Elizabeth's decision to marry George Warleggan. Although Ross angrily made love with Elizabeth, the latter did not resist the sexual act so the particular scene was labelled as a "consensual sex."
Ross will be in great trouble once George Warleggan finds out about the "consensual sex." George will hunt Ross to vindicate himself and fight for his relationship with Elizabeth.
Furthermore, Ross will be in greater trouble should the "consensual sex" bears its fruit. Behind-the-scenes photos have already confirmed that Elizabeth will be shown pregnant in season 3 of "Poldark." However, it is still a big guessing game with regards to determining who will end up to be the real father of Elizabeth's baby. Should the new season features Ross as the father of the baby of Elizabeth, George, who will soon be featured as the husband of Elizabeth in season 3, will not allow things to just pass. George would most likely take vengeance, even to the point of taking Ross' life.
In another report, Ross looks like he will really get into big trouble in season 3 of "Poldark." According to Movie News Guide, the series has featured a non-apologetic Ross since the beginning of "Poldark." It is unlikely that Ross will apologize in season 3 for his actions presented in the previous season finale. The publication mentioned that season 3 might feature the opposite, instead of being sorry for what he has done, Ross might even be seen raging with much hatred for George. Fans can expect the conflict between George and Ross to get worst when the series returns for season 3 in spring next year.
Meanwhile, one cast member will no longer return for season 3 of "Poldark." Ross will need to find a new servant as Jud Paynter (played by Phil Davis) is no longer appearing in the upcoming season. The actor's exit has already been confirmed, Chattsportsnet has noted.
