The beloved characters from Dreamworks movie, "How To Train Your Dragon" - Toothless and Hiccups will not be back on the big screen anytime soon with news that the third installment of the film is pushed back to 2019. If it is any consolation, Dreamworks announced a premiere date for another movie. Apparently the release of the upcoming animated film, "Everest" will be in Sept. 2019.
According to a Variety post, the release date of 'How To Train Your Dragon" will now be March 2019. This is almost a year later than the previously announced release date which is May 2018. Likewise, "Everest" is also scheduled for release that year. This movie follows the journey of a group of misfits that will come across a lost yeti who needs help to return to his home in the high mountains.
As reported in Empire Online, the plot of "How To Train Your Dragon" will center around the attempts of Hiccup and Toothless to save their species and keep the peace in the dragon land. Hiccup would have to find a way to surpass his new challenges as a village chief while Toothless would have to deal with an untamed mate.
"How To Train Your Dragon 3" features the voices Jay Baruchel (Hiccup), America Ferrera (Astrid Hofferson) and Gerard Butler (Stoick the Vast). The said celebrities are back to reprise their characters in the movie sequel. Likewise, Dean DeBlois will still be the director for the third part of the animated film.
Viewers still have to wait two more years before the release of "How to Train Your Dragon 3" so it is probably better to watch the first two installments for the meantime. Let us just hope that the 2019 release won't be pushed back to another later date again.
