'Code Black' Season 2 Spoilers: Dr. Campbell's Worst Nightmare Happens, Will Dr. Leanne Save His Daughter?

The head of Angels Memorial's trauma unit will face his worst nightmare in this week's episode of "Code Black" Season 2. Dr. Campbell (Boris Kodjoe) will encounter a seizure patient who will turn out to be his 13-year-old daughter.

Dr. Leanne (Marcia Gay Harden) will step in to help save her boss' child on "Code Black." Will Dr. Campbell trust her and will she succeed?

The 13-year-old's seizure is apparently due to spina bifida, according to TV Guide. But Dr. Leanne will have to convince Dr. Campbell that she can do her job well and ensure his daughter's health.

Dr. Willis (Rob Lowe), on the other hand, will try to talk some sense into the worried father, who will be doubting the skills of his colleagues in saving his child. Previous episodes of "Code Black" have shown that Dr. Campbell isn't exactly popular with his co-workers and he doesn't make an effort to change their perception. But when a precious life is on the line, will they be able to set aside their differences?

There's also another case for the rest of the doctors in this week's "Code Black." Guest star Marlee Matlin will play a deaf patient, Kathy Byrne, who had a car accident near the Los Angeles river, TV Grapevine reports. This "Code Black" episode is entitled "Ave Maria" and will air at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at CBS.

Meanwhile, "Code Black" Season 2's ratings has been a cause of concern for viewers. Projections are that the series might not earn a third season renewal if its downward spiral in viewership continues, TV By The Numbers reports.

"Code Black" Season 2 made creative changes when it returned by firing two cast members and then adding new faces as replacements, including Rob Lowe. CBS has made no announcements about the show's renewal status so far.
