"I knew it would be possible because some of us were relatively young when we had our children, but you know it depends on the longevity of the others," great-great-grandmother Shaw told Lethbridge Herald. So she said she did not expect it and only realized it as rare when she Googled it.

It all started with Vera Sommerfield, 96, whose roots budded on September 32, 1920. The 96-years-old matriarch described little Callie as a breathtaking girl, and she loves her so much. Great-grandmother Grace Couturier said she feels amazing that her granddaughter is still alive to see baby Callie.

So what's their secret? Ms. Shaw, according to BBC News, said it's their good genes, however, after several years on earth, Sommerfield credits her choice of drink - soda and rum. Baby Callie's mom said she drinks them on a daily basis. When Vera was asked if can make it witness her seventh generation, the great-great-great-great-grandmother just laugh.
