Although "The Walking Dead" is set up during the post-apocalyptic zombie outbreak, the show never referred to these already-dead-still-walking creatures as zombies as they were introduced as walkers. Robert Kirkman, the creator of "TWD," finally gave an explanation as to why this term was used instead of the usual zombies.
Kirkman was interviewed about the matter on the show of Conan O'Brien and he shared that using the word walker or other terms in place of zombie on "The Walking Dead" would make it clear that the audience will be given a sense that those who have been killed then becoming walkers are in a place where zombie fiction does not exist. True enough, that was what was established in the first season of "The Walking Dead" since most of the surviving was about figuring out how to fight these walkers, lure them away from the safe zones, and avoiding how to become one, iTechPost reported.
Kirkman continued to reveal that he still calls "TWD" a zombie show and sometimes he mistakenly writes zombies in place of walkers in the script so he has to correct himself immediately. The other terms used in place of walkers are biters, roamers, rotters, bobbers, and many more, Independent reported.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 midseason finale will be airing this Sunday on AMC and according to reports, someone might die again in the hands of Negan. Rumors have claimed that Judith will be killed off by Negan while others believe that it would be Spencer if the comics will be the basis for "TWD" Season 7A midseason finale.
In the trailer released for "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 8, Negan was seen having dinner with Judith, Carl, and Olivia while Rosita was seen holding a single bullet. Daryll was also seen getting a note and possibly being able to escape from the Saviors.
