'GTA 5' PS4, Xbox One Update: Rockstar Editor Bringing New Features -- Top Upgrades To Expect

For gamers who want an improved version of the Rockstar Editor, your wishes will soon be granted. It's undeniable that the current version of the editor is not in the same phase with the updates of some of the most popular video games, but it will soon change.

When "Grand Theft Auto V" was finally released on PC after several delays, it was equipped with great features that console gamers were unable to enjoy. One of these is the editor that allows players to direct their own in-game movies. However, good news for console gamers because they will soon enjoy the same features, The Verge reports.

According to CNET, Rockstar has announced that its upcoming Rockstar Editor will be equipped with several new features when it is released to cater the updates of "Grand Theft Auto V" and "GTA Online."

The report suggests that among the new features of the upcoming Rockstar Editor are the following:

  • Ambient Audio and Sound Effects Library comes with audio tracks that add ambient and atmospheric sound, creating livelier scenes. It also allows adding sound effects from a collection of Foley and other sfx.
  • Snapmatic Integration provides gamers a better experience as it is now possible to export any still frame at a marker point directly to Snapmatic. So if users got the perfect camera angle, it is now easier and more convenient to process it.
  • Director Mode Updates is equipped with an enlarged minimap that has radars to show preset locations. It has the ability to freeze chosen time of day settings and set air and water vehicles in motion.
  • Copy and Paste Marker Properties promises convenience as it allows copying and pasting of audio settings from any marker to another marker in the clip effortlessly. This is a priceless and effective addition to one's go-to editing techniques.
  • New Fonts provides a wide variety of fonts and styles to let users design their titles and credits. Rockstar tripled their library to give their users more and better options.

According to the report, the Rockstar Editor was initially made available to PC in April 2015. It is a feature that allow gamers to record, edit and share videos. The Director Mode, in particular, is perfect in creating machinima because it allows users to stage sequences through their characters, props and locations from the game.

For those who want to experience the updated Rockstar Editor, it is on its way. According to Forbes it will be available for both Xbox One and PlayStation4 in September.
