Is "Suits" Season 6 about to lose a major cast member? Speculations that Meghan Markle could depart the show have surfaced ever since the actress' relationship with Prince Harry has become public knowledge.
But according to "Suits" executive producer Aaron Korsh, fans have nothing to worry about when it comes to another cast departure. He told TV Line that despite the rumors about Meghan Markle's high profile relationship, no other actor is going to be dropped from the show just yet. At least not until the end of Season 6 in mid-2017.
The executive producer has fended off cast departure rumors before. One recent story came when it surfaced that lead star Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter) is leaving the show after Season 6. "Suits" has already been renewed for Season 7 last August, according to Entertainment Weekly and Korsh is certain the actor will still be part of it.
Yet he's also being realistic about the prospect of the other actors. "You never know what the future will hold," Korsh said in the TV Line report. "It's a long run. I never would have guessed that Jessica [played by Gina Torres] would have left," he added.
But for now, everyone expected to be in Season 6 will still remain. The timing of his confirmation comes as "Suits" unveils fresh new photos of the second half of the season. It features Meghan Markle getting cozy with his TV beau, Patrick J. Adams, People reports.
The two play a couple in the legal drama on USA Network and was about to get married before Patrick's Mike Ross was sent to prison in the early episodes. Now that Mike is out, they are expected to get their life back on track. But will all things work for the couple now that Mike is out of a job as a lawyer?
The first half of "Suits" Season 6 ended in September with the Pearson-Specter-Litt firm in a shamble. Without Jessica, the remaining partners have to keep the company together amid its looming problems. "Suits" Season 6 returns on the cable network on Jan. 25.
