Amy Farrah Fowler's (Mayim Bialik) most anticipated day is happening again in this week's episode of "Big Bang Theory." Following a tradition that was initiated last year, she's going to have her annual birthday sex with her beau Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons).
The latest episode entitled "The Birthday Synchronicity" will air on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS and it will be about Amy and Sheldon's sex pact. Last year, when Amy and Sheldon had sex for the first time, "Star Wars" was part of the couple's milestone. This year, it will be all about "Harry Potter," according to Entertainment Weekly.
But Amy's annual birthday sex might not go on as planned because of Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) looming date with the stork. Two episodes ago, "Big Bang Theory" ended with Bernadette going into labor. Their friends are expected to be there for the birth of the group's first baby, but how will Amy and Sheldon still proceed with the annual birthday sex?
Meanwhile, the cast of "Big Bang Theory" celebrated a birthday party in real life with Simon Helberg turning a year older. The cast honored their co-star and friend with special greetings on social media, which was led by the actor's TV wife.
"Big Bang Theory" will go on a short break for this holiday and this week's episode will be the final one for the year. The show is expected to return with a fresh episode on Jan. 5, 2017, according to TV Maze.
In recent months, the long-running series has been hounded by cancellation rumors given that the show is already in Season 10. With Jim Parson entering into another project as producer of the potential spinoff series about his character, Sheldon, speculations are that the show might soon fold up. CBS, however, has not yet confirmed the show's status.
