A list that appeared in Variety said that two Netflix series, the "BoJack Horseman"and "Black Mirror" have the best episodes of 2016. The"San Junipero" chapter of "Black Mirror" is at second spot because this episode features such excellent performances from Mackenzie Davis and Gugu Mbatha that it is difficult to imagine the whole season of this series without this episode. Meanwhile, the "Fish out of Water" chapter of "BoJack Horseman," is described as purely genius as the underwater episode has successfully evoked various emotions from the viewers.

Other TV episodes on the list include the "B.A.N." from "Atlanta" and the "Smoke and Mirrors" from "The Crown." The "Atlanta" episode is brilliant for being funny and interesting, not to mention the standout commercials that made the episode memorable. On the other hand, "The Crown" features the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and how it caused some conflict with the people around her such as Uncle David and Prince Philip.

An article in Time featured almost the same TV episodes in their own list but unique shows in their list include "The Winds of Winter" from "Game of Thrones" and the "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" episode of " The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story."
