Six months after being released for PS4 and Xbox One, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" Beginning Hour demo finally hits Steam for PC players. Non-console players get to taste Capcom's horror in their latest instalment to the hit "Resident Evil" franchise.
The Begging Hour demo for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" can be downloaded for free on Steam. The demo's description reads: "You wake up alone on the floor of an abandoned farmhouse. Daylight is quickly fading. You must find a way out."
Regarding system requirements for the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" Beginning Hour demo for PC, GameSpot detailed it in a newly released report. The recommended and minimum OS is Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 but a 64-BIT and 8GB RAM, DirectX 11, and DirectSound compatibility are required. Meanwhile, the recommended processor if Intel® CoreTM i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD equivalent or better, while the graphics is yet to be arranged (4GB VRAM).
As regards the minimum requirements for processors and graphics: Intel® CoreTM i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FXTM-6300 or better for processors and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 760 or AMD RadeonTM R7 260x with 2GB Video RAM.
Since "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is still undergoing further development, caution should be noted that hardware specification target is 1080P/30FPS. This means all PC requirements are still subject to change and an internet connection is required to activate it, per ShackNews.
According to Gaming Respawn, however, the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" Beginning Hour demo is not a prequel or total demo. It is more like a standalone short-form horror intended as an appetizer before the full game hits stores worldwide.
The full "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" game launches on Jan. 24, 2017, for all 3 platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The game is PS VR-compatible, none for the PC-specific headsets.
