Trailer For ‘Alien: Covenant’ Debuts The New Neomorph Alien; Michael Fassbender Teases That It Is Scarier Than Prometheus!

The trailer for the upcoming "Alien: Covenant" has just been released, giving some snippets for fans to feast on this holiday break. Fans can expect a new alien to come out in the movie too and Michael Fassbender has teased that it is scarier than Prometheus.

20th Century Fox has released the official trailer for "Alien: Covenant" and fans can see a new alien character. The clip introduced the new Neomorph alien. One scene from the clip shows Neomorph coming out from the back of the dying crewmember of the ship. The gesture seems to be in contrast from the previous Xenomorph alien which burst out of a person's chest in the original "Alien" movie, Yibada noted.

Surprisingly, Michael Fassbender was only shown as the android Walter in the clip. Fassbender is also reprising his other character David but the trailer did not feature the actor in this character. To compare Walter from David, the latter has more human-like personality than the other.

Aside from David, Dr. Elizabeth Shaw was also not included in the trailer. It has been reported that Noomi Rapace will reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw. Apparently, details on these two characters were not revealed yet through the trailer.

The promo video also featured Daniels (played by Katherine Waterston), and fans can spot most of this character throughout the clip. Some scenes of Billy Crudup as the captain of the ship can also be spotted in the clip.

Meanwhile, according to the official synopsis for "Alien: Covenant" posted by Collider, Ridley Scott will return to the universe he has created in the original "Alien" movie. On his journey to a remote planet, Scott will discover an uncharted paradise, which turns out to be a dark, dangerous world. This dangerous world is currently, being inhabited alone by the android David, who is a survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

The magazine has also interviewed Michael Fassbender and the actor revealed that Ridley Scott is set to extremely heighten the scare factor. Fans can expect the alien in the upcoming "Alien: Covenant" to be scarier than Prometheus.
