The long-awaited return of the British drama "Broadchurch" is coming to the small screen in February. The mystery series is also expected to run its newest season on the streaming site Netflix and on BBC America for U.S. audience. But when will this likely happen?
On Twitter, ITV network's official account confirmed that "Broadchurch" will be back on TV in February for its U.K. viewers. Except for the month, no exact date has been provided just yet. Nonetheless, the fans have responded with enthusiasm on the latest news.
Along with announcing the release, "Broadchurch" has also come up with another cryptic teaser about the mystery that will be tackled in Season 3. The words, "Here we suffered grief and pain, here we meet to part again," played out in the video, but revealed little of the new story's plot, according to Metro.
As it is with previous seasons, "Broadchurch" has always managed to keep spoilers off from the internet. But what's certain about "Broadchurch" Season 3 is that its main stars, David Tennant and Olivia Colman, will return as detectives Hardy and Miller. This time, they will take on the sexual assault case, whose story took over a year in development with the Dorset police.
New characters will also be introduced in "Broadchurch" Season 3. This includes Julie Hesmondhalgh, whose face recently figured in a photo released for the show in December, Parent Herald reported.
Meanwhile, "Broadchurch" has been shown for American audience via Netflix and BBC America in the past and it is expected that the streaming site and cable network will also pick up Season 3. Netflix Life reports that "Broadchurch" is likely to run the new season on Netflix within one to six months after its launch in the U.K.
BBC America, on the other hand, only tweeted that it will air the show in 2017. Stay tuned for the updates!
