'Lucifer' Mom Charlotte Plans To Manipulate Her Son & 'Miracle Baby' Chloe For Family's Sake

Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) has a big plan against her son on "Lucifer," but could it be for a good reason? When the show returns after its holiday break on Monday, Jan. 16, this plan will immediately unravel. But knowing Charlotte, it might unravel with bigger consequences.

Viewers might recall that when "Lucifer" last aired, Charlotte learned from her other son, Amenadiel (DB Woodside), that Chloe (Lauren German) is actually a miracle baby. She was conceived with God's help as part of his plan for his favorite son, Lucifer (Tom Ellis), according to TV Fanatic.

Whatever God's grand plan is, however, could be eclipsed because his wife, Charlotte, will use the information she learned for her own benefit. Since arriving in Los Angeles, she has always expressed she wants her boys back where they truly belong - lording over Heaven.

"Since we know Mom will stop at nothing to get back her family, which includes Lucifer, she's going to use Lucifer's feelings against him," showrunner Ildy Modrovich told TV Line. Lucifer has always had a soft spot for Chloe and could never explain her effect on him. In the last episode before the hiatus, the two even almost kissed.

But if Charlotte is going to use this against her son, then this might not be good news for Lucifer and Chloe. "She's going to weaponize those feelings, putting the relationship between Lucifer and Chloe in major jeopardy," the showrunner confirmed.

So, in the upcoming episode, Charlotte is going to share what she learned about Chloe to the demon Maze (Lesley Ann Brandt) and also enlist her help. Charlotte wants to manipulate Lucifer's romantic feelings towards Chloe to use against Gods' plans and bring the boys back home.

Nothing good ever comes out of playing with someone's feelings, but Lucifer's family is definitely different from everyone's families. However, there's Chloe caught in between this discourse and she still doesn't have any idea about who Lucifer really is. Someone is bound to get hurt by all this manipulation that Charlotte is cooking up.
