The ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas revealed a slew of Lenovo's new products including Legion laptops, a multimedia controller, smart storage, smart assistant and many more. It also announced newest upgrades of its ThinkPad laptops.
The ThinkPad X1Carbon of the Chinese company Lenovo is now made to be lighter and smaller compared to other ThinkPad X1 series. It is a notebook that weighs 1.14kg featuring a 14-inch IPS display. It has now a TrackPoint and a Precision touchpad containing physical buttons for Microsoft. Users can have two choices of colors- black and silver.
There are also a couple of features that were added in Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon according to The Indian Express. It has new connectivity ports and an improved processor and battery. Just imagine a laptop providing up to 15.5 hours of battery life and that is made possible by Lenovo with its ThinkPad X1 Carbon.
Its LTE model is Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 which means that its speed is three times faster, not to mention, reliable. Its USB Type-C docks and Thunderbolt 3 have expanded docking solutions which makes ThinkPad X1 Carbon easier to plug in with other electronic devices.
According to The Verge, the differences of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the fifth generation of the X1 series, are apparent and the company has done a decent job. The newest version of the notebook is even ahead than Dell's light and thin laptop, placing its webcam at top of the display, which is expected to be in a bottom corner. Aside from that, it entirely supports full Windows Hello because it got an IR camera.
Furthermore, the "match-in-sensor" technology was used in its fingerprint reader to authenticate users without interacting with the operating system thereby avoiding the risks of being compromised. Moreover, the Microsoft Signature Edition of Windows 10 is the Operating System used which means that there is no added bloatware.
