From electric cars to electrical scooters, more and more vehicles and rideable are turning towards the use of electric-powered motors. And in this year's CES 2017, Swagtron brought in a not-so-new but sweet ride into their library of electronic rideables, and it's one that runs on water: the "Swagsurf."
According to Gizmodo, SwagTron -- formerly known as Swagway -- is the company behind the Swagsurf and is known for turning manual-powered rideables like bikes and scooters into electric-powered rides. They're also known to make hoverboards, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they would decide to dip their creative minds into making an electric-powered surfboard.
The Swagsurf will be seven and a half feet long, two and a half feet wide and would weigh 55 pounds; It'll also have a wireless controller and enough power to run 15 mile per hour. Swagtron didn't disclose how much the Swagsurf will sell, or even when it'll come out to the market.
SwagTron's electric surfboard idea is not new, there already exists electric surfboards like the ones made by Aquila, and Onean's electric jetboard to name a few. and Knowing how Swagtron's electric surfboard design and material matches against current electric surfboards will require some waiting -- hopefully it offers something uniquely interesting.
SwagTron is also working on a full-size bike called SwagCycle. it can run speeds up to 40 milles per hours and will be equipped with a 250W motor and handdle bars that will show stats like bike speed and distance traveled.
Other than the Swagsurf and swagCycle, Swagtron is also designing the "Swagroller" -- A motorized unicycle. As per the verge, the Swagroller runs up to 10 miles per hour, is water resistant, and will have a Bluetooth speaker. Yay? well, kinda.
