Who says that the era of Vampire shows and movies have already ended? From the famous love triangle of Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, and Jacob Black of the movie saga "Twilight" to the small screen love triangle of the actor Ian Somerholder's character Damon Salvatore, Elena Golbert, and Stefan Salvatore, the "Vampire stories" are still a hit among moviegoers. But do fans really want to watch another Vampire-inspired story movie such as the "Underworld: Blood Wars?"
According to Rotten Tomatoes, moviegoers are tired of the Vampire-inspired movies as the upcoming movie receives a 57 percent audience score rating. It received even a lower score of 17 percent among critics, mentioning that even if it is faithful to its franchise, it has little to offer moviegoers. Other critics also have given it poor rating for editing and other effects that did not even do the movie justice for at least "looking cool."
The "Underworld: Blood Wars" movie is the fifth installment of the "Underworld" franchise focusing more on how the vampire death dealer, Selene, fights to end the clan war between the Lycan Clan and the Vampire faction which she holds a grudge with because of their betrayal to her, as added by IMDb. This 91 minute action, drama, sci-fi movie still has its elements that its fans loved from its previous movies.
Drected by Anna Foerster, screenplay and story by Cory Goodman together with Kyle Ward, the movie "Underworld: Blood Wars" is released released Jan. 6, 2017. The cast is led by Kate Beckinsale as the lead character Selene, supported by Theo James, also known for his character in the Divergent Series movie, is back to play his character David. Together with Beckinsale and James are Tobias Menzies, Lara Pulver, Charles Dance, James Faulkner and many more.
