The movie "Railroad Tigers" did not do so well with movie critics. Sure, the movie is expected to do well at the box office just like any other Jackie Chan movie, however, critics' words play a vital role to determine its success entirely.
The movie "Railroad Tigers" revolves around the story of one railroad worker and his group of freedom fighters find themselves on the wrong side of the tracks as they decide to ambush a heavily armed train. Since they are unarmed and worse, outnumbered they have no choice but to fight back.
The scoundrels don't have much resources to fight back so they are only left with their wits to win and get through the unfortunate situation. This is where the movie Railroad Tigers gets its much-needed adventure, action, and comedy which what Jackie Chan is known for according to Rotten Tomatoes.
However, the site only had 33 percent as the score of the movie with 21 reviews counted. There will be additional reviews as many moviegoers and critics get the chance to watch the movie. The additional review may either pull the scores up or drag it down even more.
Only 43 percent of 188 users said that they liked the movie. With the scores and ratings laid down the table, the movie is easily considered as one of the disappointing movies starred by the legendary Jackie Chan.
Nick Allen of RogerEbert.com and top critic said that with little to grab onto, "Railroad Tigers" is far slower than a goofy action movie that mostly takes place on a locomotive should ever be. Glenn Kenny of New York Times and top critic said the movie is a kind of a mess.
There are also movie critics with encouraging and positive reviews about the film. Whitney Scott Bain of Starburst said that the movie is a treat. Daniel Eagan of Film Journal International said it is a treat to watch even when it slips into violence and propaganda sharing the same thoughts as Scott Bain.
