‘Tales of Berseria’ System Specs, Demo Released; Bandai Namco Confirms Use Of Denuvo DRM

The latest entry to the role-playing video game from Bandai Namco, "Tales of Berseria," now has a new demo along with system specs to run the game smoothly. But probably the biggest news that came along the technical details for the game is the publisher's use of the Denuvo DRM for the game.

Weeks ahead of the full game's launch, Bandai Namco gave players a taste of the "explosive drama and action" of the RPG. The publisher also gave a glimpse of how the game will run on PCs.

Further, Bandai Namco also confirmed that they will make use of Denuvo DRM, an anti-tampering software, for its Steam release. They explained that this is necessary because pirates would slow down the development of future PC titles. The Denuvo is one reliable way to combat piracy.

"Denuvo has been proven to be a reliable way to fight piracy. So far, no conclusive evidence is proven to disrupt the player experience," according to the studio as PCGamer reported. Among the other Bandai Namco titles that carries the Denuvo DRM are "God Eater Resurrection" and "God Eater 2: Rage Burst."

The other technical details released by the studio include recommended and minimum system specs for the PC version of "Tales of Berseria." You can check out the game's demo as well on Steam's store page.

The minimum system specs requirement for the game is an OS of either Windows 7,8, or 10 (64-bit), Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz or AMD Phenom II X2 550, 3.1GHz, a 2GB RAM, GeForce 9800 GTX or AMD Radeon HD 4850, a Version 9.0c for DirectX with a sound card compatible with DirectX, and 15 GB available space.

Meanwhile, for recommended system requirements, you will need the same OS, Intel Core i5-750, 2.66GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.2GHz, 4 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 560 or Radeon HD 7870, Version 9.0c, and 15 GB available space. The sound card is the same as in the minimum requirements.

"Tales of Berseria" will hit stores starting Jan. 24 in North America and Jan. 27 in Europe. The rest of the world will get their hands on the game on Jan. 27 as well for PC version, according to GameSpot. A 15-minute exclusive skit will be available for players who preordered Bandai Namco's game, while there is a 15% discount for "Tales of Zestiria" or "Tales of Symphonia" owners.
