"Ghost in the Shell' actress Scarlett Johansson has a daughter who is very much into "Frozen." The actress shared that singing the songs from the movie is one activity that they bond over as mom and child.
Johansson's daughter is 2-years-old but her mother proudly shares that Rose Dorothy has a "good ear" for music. It's not surprising though as the actress also has a great singing voice.
"I sing a lot, all day, probably much to her annoyance," Johansson revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Sometimes it's songs she doesn't want to hear, so she'll just go, 'No, no, no! Not that one.' I'm like a jukebox, just press 'skip.' Next!"
At her home with husband French journalist and art curator Romain Dauriac, the mother and daughter sing along to "Frozen" songs a lot. "[It] lives on and on and on," Johansson said. "It just never goes away."
Rose was born in September 2014. When she cried and screamed when she was only months old, Johansson would sooth her by singing Jazz songs from Nina Simone or Anita O'Day. According to a Us Weekly source, it's only Johansson who can "calm her down" with this trick.
As a Hollywood actress, there's only a few of Johansson's work that her daughter can watch at this point. She was excited, however, for Rose to see "Sing," the animated movie where Johansson lent her voice to a young porcupine punk rocker.
She told E! Online back in December that her 2-year-old might be overwhelmed by the thought that the cartoon character has her mother's voice. "[But] this may be the only movie I've ever made that she can see though," she said.
Her husband, on the other hand, can't wait to watch her in "Ghost in the Shell," which comes out in theaters in March. The actress said that since she works in a different environment than her husband's, they remain fascinated by each other's career. She said this is one key to keeping their relationship interesting.
