"The Librarian" actress Rebecca Romijn is a mom to 8-year-old twin girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip. The actress admits raising twins is a challenge but she gets a lot of help from husband Jerry O'Connell.
Due to their jobs as actors who are recognized by the public, Romijn and O'Connell try even harder to give their twins a normal life. Their work schedules are also different from regular moms and dads so Romijn said that she and her husband "tag team" when it comes to this.
"So when he is traveling for work, I usually am the mom at home, and vice versa - when I'm traveling for work, he stays home," the actress told People. But one time when they had to work together for the TV movie "Love Locks," which aired on Lifetime Jan. 28, the couple turned to the grandparents for help with the kids.
"Our daughters love it, the grandparents love it. It's win-win," Romijn shared. "And Jerry and I got a lot of date nights out of it, as well!"
Having twins means twice the fun and the hardship and Romijn said it's impossible to be a helicopter mom if you're taking care of two at the same time. "The one who needs you the most is the one who gets you," she shared, adding that when the children were younger, the other twin would usually cry it out until the issue is resolved with the twin in need of attention first.
Romijn and O'Connell have been married since 2007 and have been dating three years before that. O'Connell joked via E! Online they cannot get divorced because of the children. "We don't wanna split up because we're too afraid one of us will get stuck with them," the actor said.
