Why Are Adam Levine, Behati Prinsloo Battling Over Baby Dusty Rose?

Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo were reportedly battling over their baby girl Dusty Rose. The singer revealed during a March 14 guest appearance on "The Tonight Show" that there is a serious competition between him and his wife.

Levine, 37, welcomed his first-born child with Prinsloo, 27, over six months ago. The couple was reportedly eager to hear their daughter's first word and they have been separately coaching her to say either "Dada" or "Mama."

"I've been working 'dada' hard," the Maroon 5 frontman told Jimmy Fallon, according to People. "You do slip it into every single thing you say. Like if she's being cute, you're like, 'Oh, my God. Look how cute you are. Dada.'"

Levine said his wife is doing the same for "mama." He joked that this competition will be "a battle to the finish."

Meanwhile, the new and eager parents brought Dusty Rose to her very first showbiz public event in February. Levine received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and his family was there to witness the unveiling, according to Today.

Since the baby's arrival, Levine confessed he's enjoying parenting a lot and he believes he was destined to do this. "I like to think that parenting is something that we were literally put on this earth to do," the coach on "The Voice" said, per UPI. "There are a lot of instincts and a lot of things that kind of kick in and switch on."

Levine and Prisnloo started dating in 2012 and got married in 2014. In March 2016, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. Levine said he wasn't freaked out about his impending fatherhood and gushed about his daughter on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The pop rock star said he's the luckiest man alive because of his family.
