The rumor mill started to turn weeks ago regarding Adele seemingly confirming she and Simon Konecki are married. During one of her recent concerts, she finally admitted that they have tied the knot days after she thanked her "husband and son" during her Grammys win.
The "All I Ask" singer had her Brisbane, Australia concert on Saturday and while talking to the audience, she talked about her hit "Someone Like You." She said the song was about the first fall for someone but she cannot have that feeling anymore because she is married now. Her exact words were, "Obviously, I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now," calling Konecki as her next person.
The confirmation came days after Adele thanked Konecki, whom she referred to as her husband, at this year's Grammy Awards. She took home five Grammys including album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year. She said during her acceptance speech that her manager, her husband and her son are the only reason why she continues her career in the music industry, USA Today reported.
More on the Grammys acceptance speech, she talked about motherhood, noting her first three-year hiatus was made to focus on her own son. In a statement in the past, she said she did not want to have more children but during her Grammy's speech, she said it took an army to make her strong and she is willing to do it again.
She also revealed on her Grammys acceptance speech that her pregnancy and becoming a mother made her lose a lot of herself making her struggle being a parent. She said it is difficult but her win made her believe a bit of her came back to herself, Huffington Post reported.
Meanwhile, Adele and her husband met in 2011. They broke the news about being pregnant in 2012 and their son, Angelo, is now four-years-old.
