Amanda Seyfried finally gave birth to her first baby with Thomas Sadoski following their pregnancy announcement last November. Long before she welcomed her child into the world, however, the "Mean Girl" actress already embraced motherhood and was set for parenthood.
Seyfried, 31, always spoke about motherhood in her past interviews. A rep for the actress confirmed this dream came true on Saturday, March 25, according to Today. The new parents had a baby girl but there were no announcements on the newborn's name just yet.
In 2014, Seyfried told Glamour she saw herself as a mother in the next five years. In 2015 while promoting the blockbuster movie "Les Miserables," Seyfried echoed her thoughts on motherhood as well.
"I think it's an important chapter," the actress said, as per Us Weekly. "There are some people who just know innately what they are, what they're capable of," she added. Seyfried also talked about adopting when she's 35 or 40 if she didn't have a baby the traditional way.
In a recent Vogue Australia feature, Seyfried said she has "never been excited" about her pregnancy, E! Online reported. She declared she's ready to be a mom and stressed she has indeed prepared for this for years.
Meanwhile, Seyfried and Sadoski got married in a secret ceremony last March 12, Glamour reported. "We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing," Sadoski told late night host James Corden.
It was the kind of wedding Seyfried also always wanted: low-key, less about the frills and more about the commitment. Only Seyfried's dog Finn was the sole wedding witness. Before having a child, Seyfried considered herself a dog mother and staunchly advocated for fur kids.
The couple met in 2015 while working on an off-Broadway production. They were engaged in September 2016 and revealed the pregnancy two months later.
