The plot thickens in Bobbi Kristina Brown's death. Months after Whitney Houston's daughter died while in a coma, Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has been in the hot seat and is facing possible murder charges.
A previous report from Us Weekly said that Gordon could be arrested any time as the DA is arranging a secret grand jury for the high-profile case. Now, WSB-TV 2 has uncovered court documents stating that Gordon injected a "toxic mixture" to Bobbi Kristina before leaving her unconscious in a bathtub.
The documents were to throw out Gordon's request of stopping legal proceedings in the civil court. Lawyers from Brown's camp said that Gordon is avoiding the complaint about him inflicting physical abuse and injuries that led to Bobbi Kristina's death. These incidents of physical abuse include "a violent altercation with Defendant after which he placed her in the bathtub unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture."
According to the documents, Bobbi Kristina died "after a particularly violent altercation with the Defendant which left her battered and bruised, with a tooth knocked out."
Gordon is also accused of covering up his crime because he has reportedly changed his clothes after their fight in the bathroom. He is also accused of receiving $40,000 from a magazine for pictures of him at Bobbi Kristina's grave.
The lawyers also cited how "[Gordon] has no problem giving an interview to Dr. Phil but asks this court to relieve him of his legal responsibility," referring to his appearance on the show in March.
Last week, Us Weekly reports that a grand jury is being assembled for Gordon's arrest. According to the news outlet, Gordon's charges must first be identified before any arrest can happen; however, it seems that the DA is pushing for murder charges.
A source from Daily Mail also adds that Gordon can turn himself in after his warrant is issued, but because this is a high-profile case, the police do not want to take any risks. "They wouldn't just let him walk in and walk out – he would have to be processed through court and bailed or spend a night in the cells if it happened too late in the day for the court to sit," said the source.
Bobbi Kristina, the only daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died in hospice care after months of being in a coma. Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bathtub on Jan. 21. Less than a month after her death, her conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, filed an amended lawsuit.
The amended lawsuit, obtained by USA Today, claimed Gordon to be at fault for Bobbi Kristina's death. Brown’s camp also accused him of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and unauthorized transfer of money to his bank account.
