Fans will again be excited with the latest announcement regarding “Super Smash Bros." On Dec. 9, Nintendo of America announced via Twitter that the final presentation for the highly anticipated "Super Smash Bros" for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will be held on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. PT.
According to the official announcement on Nintendo's official website, the presentation, which fans can stream live, will be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai, director of "Super Smash Bros." The announcement said that Sakurai will give out more details about Cloud Strife appearing on the said game. The final presentation for "Super Smash Bros" for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will be broadcasted worldwide.
With regards to Cloud, last month, Nintendo released a new trailer for the game, which gives a first look at Cloud in the "Super Smash Bros" world. According to a report from Polygon, the character of Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VII" will be available for the 3DS and Wii U versions of "Super Smash Bros." Along with Cloud's inclusion, Nintendo also announced that new costumes for Mii Fighters will also be available for download.
A previous Parent Herald report says that Cloud's inclusion to "Super Smash Bros" has suprised fans because this is the first time that a Nintendo game will include a character from "Final Fantasy," even though it has already used some of the latter's elements in its games.
On the announcement video, Cloud's character in "Super Smash Bros" showed his famous moves such as the "omnislash" and "Odin summon."
It can be remembered that earlier this year, Nintendo held a "Smash Bros" Fighter Ballot on their website, where players could vote and suggest their favorite character that they would like to see in the new "Super Smash Bros." The ballot, according to a separate report from Polygon, is not exclusive for Nintendo characters only and voters can also submit other fighters from other game universes. Now, it seems that the public has casted their vote, and Cloud is the new character for the game after Ryu from "Street Fighter" was added last April.
For the meantime, as you wait for Nintendo's final presentation for "Super Smash Bros" for 3DS and Wii U on Dec. 15, watch the announcement trailer of Cloud's inclusion to the "Smash Bros" roster below.
