"Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" director Zack Snyder revealed that Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) would play a much bigger role in the movie, more than just the initial cameo. Snyder also assured fans that including Doomsday in the trailer did not give much away.
Speaking to Film Ink, Snyder shared that although Gadot may not share as much screen time with Ben Affleck (Superman) and Henry Cavill (Superman), he confirmed that the three of them will have to work together to beat Doomsday.
"It's bigger than a cameo. She [Wonder Woman] comes in and does something," he said.
Snyder also shared that he was beyond ecstatic to have Wonder Woman debut on "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice." The director admitted that they haven't had a chance to work with a strong female hero just yet. He said that it will be an honor to introduce such an amazing power female character.
"I'm not in the least surprised by a strong female superhero. I'm shocked that it hasn't happened sooner," Snyder added.
Meanwhile, Snyder received backlash from fans after seeing the first "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" trailer reveal that Doomsday will be the main villain the story.
Speaking to MTV, the director admitted that he was quite surprised with how fans reacted to the trailer. Many thought that it revealed a bit too much, adding that it would have been better if Doomsday's debut have been kept a secret.
Snyder, however, assured fans that there is definitely a lot more to look forward to. He shared that he appreciated their enthusiasm, not wanting to be spoiled of the film's plot, but there is still a lot of surprises along the way.
He added that he, himself, hated reading spoilers. He pointed out that it tends to ruin the whole movie experience.
