Manny Pacquiao News: Boxer Might Lose To Bradley Again; Distracted On Upcoming Philippine Elections?

Manny Pacquiao's next fight will be with Timothy Bradley on April 9 at the MGM Grand Hotel Casino. With the Philippine elections happening on May, many boxing fans have started to wonder if running for senator was such a good idea.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, his coach Freddie Roach, however, assured fans that Pacquiao is putting his one hundred percent in the game. He added that in spite of his other commitments, Pacquiao understood that boxing is still one of, if not the, most important one. Roach added that neither politics, nor the winnings, will distract Pacquiao from giving his best.

"One thing about Manny Pacquiao is once he walks in the boxing gym, all that other stuff goes away...Once he's in the gym, he knows what he's there for. It's still what he does best, and he knows that," Roach explained.

Roach, however, admitted that he has yet to speak to Pacquiao regarding his upcoming fight with Bradley, as well as the alleged rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. With the fight only a couple of months away, Roach said that they might set up camp in Hollywood to help with the preparations. He added that this will be beneficial to help Pacquiao keep his mind off the coming elections, where he is running for senator.

This will be the third time that Pacquiao and Bradley will face each other inside the ring. In 2012, the Filipino boxing champ lost to Bradley in a controversial split decision. Two years later, the two had a rematch and although it ended once again in a decision, the judges all voted in Pacquiao's favor.

According to Sky Sports, Pacquiao confirmed that his fight with Bradley will be his last. Some fans may still be eagerly awaiting a rematch with Mayweather but Pacquiao shared that he would rather concentrate on his political career back in the Philippines.
