"POI" Season 5 will contain less fillers and fans will have to look forward to exciting storylines this season. Stars Jim Caviezel, Kevin Chapman, Amy Acker, Michael Emerson, and executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Denise The and Greg Plageman previously shared their thoughts on what could possibly be the show's finale on TV.
"We have a lot of story we want to tell. There's not going to be a lot of filler this year! It's pretty much going to be a straight shot through," Plageman said during the Comic-Con, according to Yahoo! TV.
The executive producer further noted that fans will have to look forward to a "really heightened, exciting narrative this season." Aside from the fact that Finch and Root are working towards fixing the Machine in "Person of Interest" Season 5, the show will also shed some light into Reese's romance.
Reese and Iris may or may not make things work out between them, however, as Caviezel admitted that Reese is having a hard time to get past through his first relationship with Carter. Chapman, on the other hand, shared that Fusco will look for answers on his own.
Meanwhile, executive producer J.J. Abrams also broke the hearts of "Person of Interest" fans when he seemingly confirmed that the show was headed for the chopping block during the TCA, Cinema Blend reported.
"My guess is it is the final season. The only heartbreak there is how much good story there was to come if it were to have continued," he said.
"Person of Interest" Season 5 is expected to premiere this spring on CBS.
