It's been a while since news broke out about "Screams Queens" getting renewed for a second season. In fact, it's already confirmed that Emma Roberts will be returning, but no word yet on the rest of the cast.
Initially, producer Ryan Murphy claimed that only four of the original cast members would be able to survive the first season. But as it turns out, four cast members are surely making a return on "Scream Queens" season 2.
"Perhaps unsurprisingly, given her big billing and longstanding working relationship with Murphy, the first of those four returning players is Emma Roberts," reported Cosmpolitan.com.
"Yeah, Chanel is back!" Roberts told E! News. "I'm so excited for season two of 'Scream Queens' because I can only imagine what the writers have in store for Chanel."
As it turns out, it's not just the fans that want more of the original cast members to reprise their roles. "I hope they bring a couple people back from the first season 'cause I love all those boys so much," said Emma Roberts.
But, what about the rest of the cast? Apparently, Jamie Lee Curtis is expected to reprise her role as Dean Cathy Munsch. Lea Michele, on the other hand, has said that she's currently in talks with Ryan Murphy to continue playing the role of Hester.
"Zayday, we need to come back [for a] second season," Keke Palmer told Entertainment Tonight. "I haven't gotten any word yet, but hopefully Zayday is coming back, 'cause come on! 'Scream Queens' gotta have Zayday Williams."
In spite of the reports, Fox has yet to announce any official casting news about the show. "It really hasn't been decided who's coming back and how many of them will be playing their old characters," Fox exec Gary Newman said at the 2016 Winter TCA Press Tour.
