Pillsbury Recalls Cinnamon Rolls, May Contain Plastic

General Mills announced Pillsbury's recall of their cinnamon rolls, according to Inquisitr.

The company confirmed that it was a voluntary class II recall and that it only affected one flavor of its cinnamon rolls. The refrigerated cinnamon rolls are the ones being recalled by General Mills. Other varieties like Pillsbury's Flaky Cinnamon Rolls and Pillsbury Grand! Cinnamon Rolls were not included in the recall.

General Mills believe that some packages of their products may contain fragments of plastic. They wrote in a statement: "This action is being taken as a precaution because the dough may contain fragments from a broken piece of plastic on the production line. These products are sold in grocery stores nationwide. No other Pillsbury dough products are being recalled."

They also confirmed that only specific packages are being recalled. These include Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing - better if used by date: 0Oct2013 and 31Oct2013, Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing 2-pack - better if used by date 18Oct2013, 26Oct2013 and 31Oct2013.

General Mills customers can contact them at 1-800-775-4777 if they want to replace their initial purchases. Those customers who have questions may also the said numbers to keep in touch with the brand.

On the company's Twitter account they posted "Voluntary recall of limited quantity of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing".
