Kris Humphries was unable to get the annulment he so badly wanted from Kim Kardashian and instead had to settle for a divorce - and now the basketball player wants to sell the 2 million carat engagement ring he gave to her in 2011.
According to PerezHilton, the 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring worth $2 million is up for sale. Although Kris Humphries has not officially announced he is selling the ring, but a similar ring has appeared in an October 15th auction at Christie's and is listed as the "property of a gentleman." The ring is the exact dimensions and designer of Kim's ring.
Humphries, who was infamously married to the reality star for just 72-days, asked for the ring back after saying he felt duped by the marriage and called it a publicity stunt.
The NBA star presented Kim with the ring on her reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Their August 2011 wedding was featured in tow separate and highly viewed E!specials. And their divorce came a few months later.
Although the ring was originally sold for upwards of $2 million, the ring is expected to sell for only $300,000 - $500,000, with a portion of it going to an unnamed charity.
Kim Kardashian has since moved on from Kris Humphries to rapper Kanye West and welcomed their first child together, North West, in June earlier this year. The couple are set to hit the road later together with baby North West as Kanye West's North American tour gets underway.
