The new judge of X Factor, Kelly Rowland, talks about some contestants who stood out during the auditions and how it is like working with Simon Cowell, according to the Huffington Post.
X Factor Season 3 will have a two-night premiere that commenced tonight, September 11 and 12 at 8 in the evening on FOX. Rowland who is sitting on the judge's seat for the first time ever said, "the talent this season is nothing short of amazing."
Rowland also expressed her amazement with one of the female contestants who she said is "one of the most amazing voices" to ever grace the show. She said that this particular contestant is to watch out for because she's up there with Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Gladys Knight. "We've got gems in each category," Rowland further said.
When asked about her judging style, Rowland says she brings honesty to the table, but is still there to have fun. "I'm very honest. I'm constructive and firm. I think it's important to be constructive when it comes to criticism with people and have a good time!"
And then there's Simon Cowell. When asked how it is like judging alongside her new boss, she answers, "There are no words for Simon. All three of us actually put Simon in his place. I think sometimes he's probably thinking to himself, 'What was I thinking with three women up here?' But I think it was a great decision." Rowland and Cowell will be judging along with old-timer Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio.
