Filming might be moving along, but "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" writer and director James Gunn is still keeping everything under wraps. While fans are eager to see Chris Pratt return as the Star-Lord, there are bigger expectations brewing for Nebula, played by Karen Gillan.
It is still unknown if Karen Gillan will be getting more screen time on "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," but the "Oculus" actress has kept fans assured that Nebula will be back - and blue.
Earlier this week, Gillan shared a photo on Twitter, showing Nebula's blue trademark blue hand and thigh. The photo was taken on set of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel, which is slated for release sometime in 2017.
However, the uniform she's wearing seems a bit torn up - "perhaps still reflecting the beating she took from Zoe Saldana's Gamora during the film's climax," reports ScreenRant.
It's no surprise either that Gillian opted not to reveal what Nebula would look like in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." Gillan famously shaved her head for the same role in "Guardians of the Galaxy," but that doesn't necessarily mean she'd have to do it again for the sequel.
"Even she wasn't sure how they were going to work around her having hair when she made the suggestion that it could happen," wrote Dirk Libbey of CinemaBlend. " But we haven't seen anything that confirms that she currently has hair, or has recently made a trip to the barber. It's anybody's guess."
