Filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" has kicked off in Vancouver and the cast and crew wasted no time setting the movie's romantic theme. In the first few days, stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were already seen kissing in one scene.
Yahoo! has photos from the set of the "Fifty Shades" sequel, where Ana (Johnson) and Christian (Dornan) are seen standing in the rain with an umbrella hovering over them. As Ana gazed at her guy, Christian plants a solid kiss on her lips. They appear to look oblivious and happy as lovers.
MTV reports that the stars also filmed another scene on the streets where a distraught Ana (Johnson) is comforted by Grey (Dornan). It is suggested that the Ana has had an encounter with her boss, Jack Hyde, who will be introduced in the sequel. Hyde is played by Eric Johnson, who is known for his work in the TV series "The Knick," per The Hollywood Reporter.
As written in the books, a longtime rivalry exists between Grey and Hyde, but the friction gets worse because of Ana. Grey eventually gets Hyde's job on the line, because in his mind, his old rival took advantage of his girl.
While the storyline of "Fifty Shades of Darker" sounds intense, E! Online reports that the stars are actually having fun on the set. In fact, after filming their kiss, Johnson and Dornan were seen sharing a good laugh after the director yelled, "Cut!"
"Fifty Shades Darker" is expected in theaters in February 2017.
Meanwhile, despite the box office success of the first installment "Fifty Shades of Grey," the movie received most of the awards at the Razzie. The award-giving body is notorious for "honoring" bad films, and during Saturday's ceremony, "Fifty Shades" was cited for "Worst Picture," "Worst Actors and Actress," "Worst Screenplay" and "Worst Screen Combo," UPI reports.
