"Fallout 4" has a new Survival mode that challenges players to step up their game. In honor of the game's PC beta launch, Bethesda released new information about this new mode. Fast travel, auto save, and manual save are all disabled. Players will not be able to escape quickly should they need to and getting wounded will cripple them significantly.
Here are other a few other information about the new "Fallout 4" Survival mode:
- In the new Survival mode, Bethesda makes sure that players are able to realize the importance of a good night's sleep. They will have to find a bed if they want to save the game. When they want to get all the perks of sleeping, they will have to find a mattress because cloth sleeping bags will not be enough.
- "Fallout 4's" new mode demands that gamers need to keep thier health in check, as reported by Gamespot. They will need to feed themselves properly, drink purified water, and take medications when either wounded or sick. Illnesses are new to the game and they can cure themselves by taking antibiotics, going to the doctor, and taking a rest. RadAways will now affect their immune system so taking it often will make them more susceptible to illnesses.
- Bethesda also reduced the carry weight. Gamers will have to avoid carrying too much to prevent crippling. They will be forced to establish a strategy when exploring the wasteland and choose items, weapons, and armors wisely. Also, they will have to be aware where the nearest rest area is to avoid fatigue.
- Gamers have to take care of their companions. When they are down or wounded, they will need Stimpacks. However, if they are abandoned, they will return to their homes.
- "Fallout 4" will also have more enemies prowling about in the wasteland. More enemies means more loot but also slower repopulation. If gamers want to encounter enemies, they will have to keep moving around.
"Fallout 4" will feel like a different game, WCCF Tech reported.
