Things are getting more interesting in "Red Dead Redemption 2" as more details recently leaked. The latest leaked scoops are circulated ahead of its rumored launch during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 in June.
Fans are definitely dying to know more details about the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" launch." So, here are 3 reasons why fans should be excited about Rockstar Games' western action-adventure video game sequel.
1. "Red Dead Redemption 2" Leaked Map
Recently, the online realm went crazy after a leaked map appeared, hinting the details of the world of "Red Dead Redemption 2." According to My Gaming, the much larger map, which was immediately taken out from the gaming forum, showed several bodies of water as well as the appearance of islands.
Those bodies of water in "Red Dead Redemption 2" leaked map reportedly suggested that the player character will be able to swim for the first time. In addition, the map also featured a full-blown city called New Bordeaux, a fictional version of New Orleans, Stuff notes.
The map, however, will still feature a railroad system and several of the iconic towns and locations from the predecessor of "Red Dead Redemption 2." But the map's western part, including Blackwater, will be reportedly untouched by man.
2. "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be a Prequel
"Red Dead Redemption 2" is reportedly a prequel, not a sequel as many fans believed. It will also feature a small crossover area on the map with "Red Dead Redemption," Daily Express reveals.
It has also been previously reported that the upcoming game is titled, "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West." But latest rumors have it that it will be called, "Red Dead Rebellion," but this scoop remains unconfirmed, as per PCAdvisor.
3. "Red Dead Redemption 2" Release Date
Several reports suggested that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be announced at the upcoming E3 2016 on Jun. 14-16, 2016, held at Los Angeles Convention Center and with a release date set for 2017, Alphr learns. But rumors have it the game might be release on October, noting Rockstar CEO's statement about releasing aone franchise annually.
"We've launched one new successful franchise every year and I would like to keep doing that particularly because I talk about permanent franchises, but not everything is going to be a permanent franchise," Rockstar CEO Strauss Zelnick said, News Everyday quotes.
"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent," he added. "It's obvious that 'GTA' is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that 'Red Dead' is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or 'Borderlands,' for example, and 'NBA' and others."
