'The Walking Dead' Cast, News: Norman Reedus Demanding Focus On Negan, Daryl Dixon In Season 7?

"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, reportedly wants to take centerstage along with Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan. News say that Norman Reedus is actually demanding from producers to make "The Walking Dead" season 7 revolve around Daryl Dixon and Negan.

For most of "The Walking Dead" season 6, Negan became almost a buzzword among fans. In truth, most of the mill around "The Walking Dead" season 6 centered on the havoc Negan will bring.

However, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was not expected to appear until the season finale. Comic Book cites Star with the story that Norman Reedus reportedly wants Daryl Dixon to take a bigger share in the pie alongside Negan in "The Walking Dead."

Comic Book also says that a supposed AMC insider gave Star "The Walking Dead" scoop. Allegations say that Norman Reedus' trump card comes from lobbying to bring Jeffrey Dean Morgan to take on the role of Negan in "The Walking Dead."

This supposedly made Norman Reedus feel that he can pressure the decision-makers into giving Daryl Dixon a more substantial run in "The Walking Dead" season 7, even if this meant getting Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) or Glenn (Steven Yeun) killed off from the series. One other supposed ace on Norman Reedus' side is being a strong favorite among "The Walking Dead" fans worldwide.

Gossip Cop emphasizes, however, that this report is untrue. At no point did Norman Reedus dip his hand into how "The Walking Dead" season 7 should run. The media outlet states that Norman Reedus does not, and has no need to, pressure anybody to make him and Negan the main stars of "The Walking Dead" series.

An exclusive clarification was given by Norman Reedus' representative to Gossip Cop. "Norman has absolutely nothing to do with the casting or storylines on the show," the rep stated. "He has strong friendships with Andrew, Steven and Jeffrey, and is thrilled to work with them all as much as humanly possible."

As it is, so much is already happening onscreen with "The Walking Dead" scheduled to open with a revelation of who Negan and his bat, Lucille, bashed to pulp bits in last season's finale. More than a few fans are also waiting to see if Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Daryl Dixon will grow even closer when "The Walking Dead" season 7 rolls in.
