Sprinkles Cupcakes brought its cupcake ATM to the Manhattan area Tuesday, allowing cupcake enthusiasts to grab a sweet treat 24 hours a day, according to a New York Daily News report.
Located at 780 Lexington Ave., the automatic treat machine is open round the clock and can dispense up to four cupcakes ($4.25 each), cookies and doggie cupcakes at the same time.
Patrons can visit the bakery and order their delicious sweets the old fashioned way 12 hours a day, but if a craving hits you during non-business hours, freshly baked goodies are available at the machine (since employees are constantly baking at the shop all day long).
And according to Sprinkles Cupcakes' Facebook page, to celebrate the Tuesday grand opening, random cupcakes will have "golden ticket" prizes hidden inside.
One Sprinkles follower, Madee Clouse, was one of the lucky winners.
"So I picked up some cupcakes from the ATM, and when I got home I noticed that one of the cupcakes had a "you're a winner" button inside. what did I win?!" she happily exclaimed on the company's Facebook page.
A $500 American Express gift card, gift cards for a dozen free cupcakes and a Sprinkles Party in their bakery party room are among the coveted prizes.
"Hands down the best cupcakes in NYC!" Shawn Paul Mazur wrote on Facebook, giving the site five stars. "Awesome selection, friendly staff and NEVER dried out cake like other 'famous' cupcake spots in the city."
The first cupcake ATM opened in Beverly Hills, Calif., in 2012. Since then, Sprinkles has also installed machines in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta.
