The "Warcraft" movie by Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures released behind-the-scenes that promise kick-ass stunts. Pitting itself against the current deluge of comic adaptations, the "Warcraft" movie will have someone in its roster who said the "WoW" video game saved his life.
'Warcraft' As A Production
The "Warcraft" movie, based on the RPG franchise by developer Blizzard Entertainment, is directed by David Bowie's son Duncan Jones. Playing the "Warcraft" movie leads are "Vikings" star Travis Fimmel as Lothar, Paula Patton as Garona Halforcen, Toby Kebbell as Durotan and Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim.
Special 'Warcraft' Stunts Behind-The-Scenes
Gamespot reports that a recently released short feature video on the "Warcraft" movie highlights Paula Patton as Garona. Paula Patton insisted on being physically able to do in the "Warcraft" movie most of what Garona Halforcen is able to do in the "WoW" game.
To achieve realism for Garona Halforcen in the "Warcraft" movie, Paula Patton not only did strength and physical work but also trained with the stunt team. Paula Patton related that her training for the "Warcraft" movie, by itself, is daunting.
'Warcraft' Saved A Life
However, the "Warcraft" movie teases evidenced the hard work put into the "WoW" adaptation. Perhaps what added quality to the "Warcraft" movie is how strongly the cast felt for "WoW" itself.
Although Travis Fimmel was happy to join the "Warcraft" movie as Lothar because he needed a job, "WoW" had personal value for other cast and crew. Gamespot reports that Robert Kazinsky, who plays Orgrim Doomhammer in the "Warcraft" movie, particularly said that the "WoW" video game saved his life.
Kotaku reports that Robert Kazinsky did his "EastEnders" role so well that loyal series fans hated him even in person. Robert Kazinsky became negatively affected on a personal level until he spent time on "World Of Warcraft."
While playing "World of Warcraft," Robert Kazinsky recovered from the trauma of his "EastEnders" experience. Suffice it to say that thanks to "WoW," Robert Kazinsky got back to confidence to shine in the "Warcraft" movie as Orgrim Doomhammer.
The "Warcraft" movie brought in "Game Of Thrones" linguistics experts and much of the "WoW" glossary to help with the script. The "Warcraft" movie is scheduled for theater release on June 10.
