Capcom will evolve horror in "Resident Evil 7" integrating story-cohesion that made "RE" 0 and 1 popular. As some reports tout a "return to roots" "Resident Evil 7," assisted by Kojima Productions designer for "Metal Gear Solid" and "Silent Hills" P.T. Jordan Amaro, will certainly pack in the fun.
'Silent Hills' PT Dev On 'Resident Evil 7'
Jordan Amaro's presence in the production of "Resident Evil 7" is exciting news for gamers who experienced Konami's release of "Silent Hills" (playable trailer). While fans are still smarting from the cancellation of "Silent Hills" by Konami, gamers are now more hopeful over "Resident Evil 7."
'Resident Evil 7' Reboots Franchise Horror
Capcom had been seeing dwindling enthusiasm over the recent action-packed "Resident Evil" iterations. The deviation from story strength that drove earlier "Resident Evil" iterations to fame were palpably missing in the more recent "RE" games.
GamesRadar reports that "Resident Evil 7" will be far removed from the deviations that made the newer "RE" games unpopular. The hopeful marketing buzz for now is how "Resident Evil 7" will re-integrate the style that fans appreciated from "RE" 0 and 1.
Inverse, however, points out that rather than a recreation of the horror style of the earlier "RE" games, "Resident Evil 7" will be a move forward. Evolving horror so that "Resident Evil 7" reboots from the failure of the more recent games, the new Capcom game will likely still keep in step with the times.
'Resident Evil' On VR?
Much of the changes in "Resident Evil 7" are expected to be highlighted at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. This detail was posted on social media by industry source Dr. Serkan Toto.
According to GamesRadar, among the anticipated aspects are the move to bring "Resident Evil" to the VR platform. Projecting focus by Sony on virtual reality, the VR platform is yet to bring in a major title from among hit franchises.
Meanwhile, fans can keep an eye out for "Resident Evil 7" at the three-day E3 2016 beginning June 14. "Resident Evil 7" is expected to be released for PS4 and XBox One.
