Microsoft recently announced bringing "Halo 5" Forge tools to Windows 10 PC. Forge has been a mainstay in Microsoft games since "Halo 3."
'Halo 5' Forge Tools For PC
Forge basically allows users to build and share their "Halo" levels, game types and machinima for Microsoft's hit franchise. The PC version of Forge, however, will allow user content to be playable on "Halo 5" for Xbox One only.
XBox Wire reports that essentially the "Halo 5" Forge will allow users to tinker with the game on Windows 10. "Halo 5" content modified with PC Forge will then need to be uploaded for XBox One gameplay.
At the moment, "Halo 5" online multiplayer is only possible on Xbox One. However, Forge designers can test their "Halo 5" creations on Windows 10 PCs with friends.
Flexibility for 'Halo 5' Content With Forge
This small but significant gesture from Microsoft to Windows 10 users aims to allow "Halo 5" players to use their PC's keyboard, mouse and 4K support. All of these are supported by "Forge - Halo 5: Guardians Edition."
The ultimate goal is to enable users to produce "Halo 5" content more easily. Undoubtedly, Forge for Windows 10 will raise gamer expectation that "Halo 5" will eventually arrive at PCs sooner rather than later.
'Halo 5' Remains At The Top Of Its Game
The latest game in the hit series is "Halo 5: Guardians," released late last year. "Halo 5," which was developed by 343 Industries, is praised for its refined gameplay. "Halo 5" has since been receiving a slew of updates in the form of DLC.
Incidentally, MSPowerUser reports that discovery by a Russian Windows 10 website, OneTile, points to the Windows 10 Store having a hidden link to the "Halo: Master Chief" Collection. This is probably in preparation for the Windows 10 anniversary update later this summer designed to unify the Xbox One and Windows 10 stores.
With E3 2016 just around the corner, "Halo" fans are waiting patiently for news. Microsoft promises huge announcements incoming, and "Halo" fans may well receive more than a few surprises.
