"The Walking Dead" may be a serious drama horror that has shocked fans for several seasons, but that doesn't mean that the cast don't know how to have fun. A new video for Red Nose Day shows "The Walking Dead" stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Melissa McBride and Sonequa Martin-Green being funny. The result is a smiling Rick Grimes, a dancing Sasha, a drum-playing Carol and a dummy-toting Glenn!
"The Walking Dead" Red Nose Day Special
The video opens with Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus discussing how "The Walking Dead" tends to feature so much horror and gore. Andrew Lincoln wonders if it is possible for "The Walking Dead" to have, as Norman Reedus puts it, "more sweetness."
Andrew Lincoln then dreams of "The Walking Dead" Red Nose Day Special that stars a smiling Rick Grimes, a sneezing Daryl Dixon and even Merle's Hand. Sonequa Martin-Green also appears as a dancing diva while Steven Yeun has a dummy named Edmund McRottingham III. David Morrissey, who once played the Governor, returns as Elvis Presley while Dax Shepard and "Talking Dead" host Chris Hardwick will both portray Han Solo. Perhaps the best guest star in "The Walking Dead" Red Nose Special is Jeff Goldblum, who will appear as a member of Daryl Dixon's family.
Norman Reedus jolts Andrew Lincoln from his daydream. "We're not gonna do that," he says. "Alas, we shan't," Lincoln replies before rubbing some fake blood on Norman Reedus' nose. He then turns to the camera and greets the viewers a happy Red Nose day.
Red Nose Day was celebrated on May 26 in a two-hour television program that aired on NBC. The organization makes use of entertainment to spread awareness about children in need across the globe. As of writing, Red Nose Day has $31.5 million that will be donated to children in need.
